4 Small Changes Make A Big Difference In Polo Shirt

Shoulder Width

Problem:

① More than 2cm above the shoulder line, showing a thick back and a feeling of shrugging shoulders.

② Not reaching the shoulder line: the shoulder width is narrower, compressing the distance between the neck and the shoulder and showing a big head.

Solution:

Make Sure the shoulder line joints well with the shoulder peak point.

Solution:

Keep the sleeve cuff around 7cm away from the elbow for a regular fit polo shirt, while 10-12cm for the slim fit polo shirt.

Body Width (bust & waist)

Problems:

① Loose fit and too boxy style: Chest and waist circumference of the polo shirt is 10cm wider or even more than body.

②Too Slim fit: Chest and waist circumference of the polo shirt is just 2-3 cm wider or even less than body.

Solution:

Chest & waist width can be 5-8cm larger than your body.

Garment Length

When you are standing and your hands are naturally vertical.

If the shirt’s length is not reached the wrist and more than 6cm from the wrist: Clothes length is too short, looks too formal.

If the shirt’s length is over the wrist and more than 3 centimeters away from the wrist: the clothes’ length is too long, looks draggy and cumbersome.

Solution:

Keep the length of the polo shirt balanced with the wrist, no more than 3 cm up and down.
